We visited on 6/3/12 and started at the Beaver Meadows Visitor's Center. While this was not as decked out as some that we've been to, they did have a nice auditorium where we watched the 23 minute video on the park. We were told that the Alpine Visitor's center was open at the top of the park, and that they actually opened about 3 weeks early this year due to warmer temps (however their pipes up there were still frozen, so no running water or functional toilets - had to use the latrine style ones). Jr. Rangers can complete their Jr. Ranger Badge here or at any of the Visitors Centers. Many pull-off spots on Trail Ridge Road on the way up to the top offered many good photo ops, including a spot for Longs Peak (which might have been Deer Ridge Junction), "Many Parks Curve", "Rainbow Curve", "Forest Canyon", "Rock Cut", and "Lava Falls" (where there was plenty of snow to make snow balls!). It was very windy at Alpine Visitors Center, but the temps weren't that bad. The gift shop here is pretty big and you can get lunch (unless you stop at the Subway in Estes Park on the way in and have lunch in your vehicle like we did.) Here are a couple of pictures I took with the iPhone 4S and the DMD Panorama app: lh3.googleusercontent.com/-BRqSR-F4fRY/T84ht-c00OI/AAAAAAAAATg/RFT6ysXlQEo/s1222/12+-+1lh4.googleusercontent.com/-imGJ0EQZX3c/T84g3OA9LFI/AAAAAAAAATM/9pUJsvqKGhk/s1223/12+-+1
