This was a very cool place to visit. Just outside of Savannah GA on the way to Tybee Island (just a few miles from it). You can walk on top of the fort, see inside the barracks and prison cells, get up close to the cannons, watch demonstrations, and walk around the outside to see the damage the Union army did to it when they captured it. There's also a short movie to watch detailing the battle in the visitor's center.
There were a number of different stamps you can get here besides the normal one including: The Passport 25th anniversary (1986-2011), Underground Railroad Freedom Network, Cockspur Island, Gullah-Geechee National Heritage Corridor, and a large Cockspur Island Lighthouse stamp.
Fort Pulaski was also the setting of the B movie - Abraham Lincoln vs Zombies (a knockoff of Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter.)
