This site is in NO way affiliated with the National Park Service (NPS). It is however a resource to help you find out more about National Park Service National Parks, Historic Sites, and their other sites as well as sharing information between our members. This site is FREE. This site is NOT about showing off how many stamps you have 'collected' in a year, though we do like our members to tout their accomplishments on a given trip. We don't want this to become a contest between who has more stamps. The exchange of useful information is the main purpose.
In 2009 our family took a great road trip to Mt. Rushmore and the surrounding area. We were familiar with National Park Service sites and had visited a few over the years, but this trip was our real NPS baptism. By the time we were returning home, we were seeking out which NPS sites were on the way that we could visit.
In 2010 we started planning trips, big and small, around visiting NPS sites. We met a number of people and families on very similiar trips and thought it would be a great idea to have a central site where we could all get together and exchange information - thus Cancellation Station was born!
